Control your business spend, card by card

Issue a virtual USD Mastercard for every person, vendor or customer, and set the limit on each one. Fund them all from a single Fincra USD wallet.

Fincra Card Issuing lets African businesses, global platforms and fintechs put a virtual USD Mastercard in the hands of their staff or their customers, funded from one wallet.

Two ways to start

Run your own card programme, or take cards off your wallet.

Most businesses come to us to issue cards to their customers. If you only need cards for your own team, you do not have to build anything.

The main product

Card Issuing

You are the issuer. You create cardholders and cards through the Fincra API, inside your own app, under your own brand.

  • Issue to your customers, your riders, your sellers or your staff.
  • Create a cardholder, then create as many cards as you need.
  • Your app shows the card, the balance and the transactions.
  • You see only your own cardholders.
If you do not issue cards

Business Cards

Cards for your own company, linked straight to your Fincra USD wallet. You work in the dashboard. There is nothing to build.

  • Activate in the dashboard and issue the same day.
  • Give a card to each person, or to each cost.
  • Move money from your wallet to a card when you need it.
  • Read the balance and the full history for each card.

Two business cards for the people inside a company. One consumer card for the customers of your app. All three are virtual, in USD, and on the Mastercard network.

Five steps to your first card

However you issue, the path from account to live card is the same five steps.

  • Onboard: create a Fincra account and pass business verification.
  • Choose the card: Business Standard, Business World or Consumer Platinum.
  • Fund the wallet: put USD in your Fincra wallet. Cards draw from it.
  • Create a cardholder: give us the person's details. We verify them.
  • Issue and spend: create the card, fund it, reveal the details, spend.

Your team's software bill, discounted by Mastercard

Easy Savings Specials is a Mastercard discount platform. Mastercard builds the offers around the way the card is used, so the savings follow what your team already buys.

How a cardholder uses it

Open an offer

The offers sit with Mastercard, and the list changes over time.

Give the first digits of the card

Just enough for Mastercard to confirm the card qualifies for the offer.

Use the code at checkout

Mastercard returns a code for the merchant's checkout. Some offers apply on their own, with no code at all.

Regus holds about 100 workspaces in Nigeria and more than 100,000 worldwide. Offers change. Business Standard and Business World only.

Who it is for

Most card programmes look like one of these three

Wallet apps, marketplaces and importers. The cards are the same. What changes is who holds them and what you control.

A USD card inside your app

Give every user a card for streaming, hosting and stores abroad, under your own brand.

One cardholder, many cards

Create the cardholder once, then issue as many cards as that person needs.

Balances and history by webhook

Your app shows the card balance and every transaction. We call your service as each one happens.

Card your sellers and agents

Issue a card to each seller, driver or agent, and keep every balance separate from your wallet.

Control what each card buys

Nine spend rules on a business card: merchant, category, country, amount, time of day and more.

Stop a card in one call

Freeze a card the moment something looks wrong. Unfreeze it later, or terminate it for good.

Pay Chinese sellers face to face

Link the card to Alipay or WeChat Pay and buy stock and raw materials in person.

A card for each supplier

Give one card to each supplier or each order, so a charge is always traceable to a purchase.

Money stays where you put it

A card holds only the money you move onto it. Your wallet balance is never open to a card.

Controls

Say what a card can do, before it does it

Nine spend rules on a business card, in three groups. Set a rule on the main card, or on each virtual card under it.

How much

Amount

A smallest and a largest transaction amount.

Velocity

How much the card can spend in a day, and in a month.

Utilisation limit

A ceiling on how much of the limit a card may use.

Where

Merchant category

Only the kinds of business you allow.

Merchant name

One named seller, and nobody else.

Country

The countries where the card works.

When and how

Time of day

The hours when the card works.

Validity period

A start date and an end date for the card.

Channel

The transaction environment the card accepts.

Standard on all three

On every card, every type

Spend rules are a business-card feature. These three are not: they come with every card Fincra issues.

Lifecycle

Freeze and unfreeze

Stop a card in one call, and start it again later.

Terminate

Close a card for good. A closed card never reopens.

Card security

Reveal by token

Card details are shown through a one-time token, not stored in your app.

3-D Secure

A one-time password goes to the cardholder at the checkout.

The money record

Three balances

Available falls the moment a payment is approved. Posted falls when the payment settles. Pending is the gap between the two.

A record you cannot rewrite

Card movements are funding, authorisation and reversal. Nothing is edited. A reversal is a new entry that points at the original.

Reports and webhooks

Read transaction and balance reports at any time. We call your service as each transaction happens.

Questions

What buyers ask before they commit

The price, the funding, the limits and the timeline. If your question is not here, the card issuing team will answer it.

What does it cost?

Price depends on the card type you choose and the number of cards you issue. Talk to sales and we will give you a written price and the card terms before you activate.

Are the cards physical or virtual?

Virtual, and in USD. A cardholder reveals the card number, the expiry date and the security code through a one-time token, then uses the card online.

Where does the money come from?

Your Fincra USD wallet. You move money onto a card before the cardholder spends. Each card balance is held apart from the wallet balance, so one card cannot spend another card's money.

What happens if a card is used badly?

You can freeze a card at once, and unfreeze it later. You can terminate a card, and that is final. Three failed payments for low balance inside 24 hours also close the card.

Can I put the cards in Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Not today. The cards are for online purchase, and for in-person payment in China through Alipay and WeChat Pay.

How long does it take to go live?

Business Cards issue the same day you activate in the dashboard. Card Issuing goes live as soon as your build is ready and your account is verified.

Ready to issue your first card?
